Patience is a Virtue.....?

Absence makes the heart grow fonder?  It'll all be worth it in the end!  Keep em' coming, I need to hear it!  We still didn't hear back from the bank on the difference between appraisal and our offer, but we did hear from the seller....They want an additional 60 days following final written approval from the bank! That puts us into June!  Arggggg!!!!  We thought we'd be closing by May!  Bah Humbug!  We're trying to be patient, but wah!!!  lol, any encouraging words would be appreciated ;)  Anyone else have a short sale that took a long time (I have seriously heard about one that took three years! Can't verify the truth of it though, lol).
   Additionally, today my computer gave me some weird messages.  When I asked hubby it turns out that my 7 year old computer is finally starting to go :(  Sad faces galore.  I was waiting to buy a new one until after the closing, but I guess I'll do it now!  So, now visions of pretty laptops are dancing in my head! Until we meet again (hopefully with good news!)

Sooo, sooo close!

     Latest news is......our inspection went fine (I may or may not have posted about this).  The biggest issue is an outlet which could probably use an electrician (he said 220V and death and it scared me, being clumsy and all) and the garage door opener needs replacing.  So, no deal breakers.
     The next step was the appraisal.  It came in 5K less than our offer soooooo, now we wait for the seller to agree (done!) and then the Bank (since it's a short sale!).  Ahhhhhh, again, I'm losing my mind, lol.  This is the last big hurdle (at least we hope so).  I have been "dreaming" endlessly about this house.  It didn't help that both the inspection and appraisal report had more pictures for me to look at, droll over, remodel in my mind, lol.  I am soooo much more in love with this house and sooooo ready to move in.  Please say some prayers, hope for us, wish on stars, whatever it is you believe in.  Me, I will be doing all of the above!!!!

In the mean time, here's my short list of things that we want to do semi-immediately or HAVE to do:

• purchase refrigerator (the only appliance not included) We like the french door but are def looking for a bargain, let us know if you have any suggestions!!!
• remove magenta (yes!) carpet from master and replace (bamboo floors? suggestions?)
• remove all wallpaper borders (almost every room)
• paint (bedrooms for the most part (but also a lavender bathroom that is connected to the pink master, lol)
• re-tile master shower/wall
• ENJOY COMPANY!!!!

So, any pointers, tips?????? Any good jokes to help me keep my mind off the fact we are waiting to hear???? anyone, someone?  ha ha!  Send me any good links that go along with my to do list too!!

Inspection!

Great News...we aren't quite there yet BUT,  BOA accepted our offer on the house!  Yippee!!! On Friday, the house was inspected (went well, but we haven't seen the full report yet).  Now, we have to wait on the appraisal and hope the bank will settle (in the case that our offer is over the amount it is "worth."  We don't have extra thousands lying around, lol. 

soooooooo.....Ahhh!! we might have a house soon!  I'm pumped, uncontrollably.  The downer has been that I've been having a horrid time at work so it's been leveling me out.  I really hope all of this goes through!  IF it does, we could potentially be in **our house** sometime in April!  Wowzers! I never thought it would come!  Fingers crossed for us that everything works out!   

News! News News!!!

Yippy Skippy!!!!!  We finally got approval from the bank on our offer!  At this point, we have cleared the first (and hopefully the only) hurdle in the process of buying our home! Next up inspections, then the appraisal! Then...closing!!! I cannot wait!  I am really hoping it's smooth sailing from here on out!  If all goes well we could be moving in April!  Ahhhh!!! so exciting!  Let's share stories.  C'mon, if you're reading the blog, I want to hear the good, the bad and the Ugly!  I want to have a well-balanced view of what to expect!  Thanks for stopping by either way!
